SPECIAL NOTE Angelo Cortesi, born in Asola, Italy, is an architect and designer. Founder of La Cortesi Design in Milan, he has completed over 100 architectural projects and collaborated with studios such as Gregotti and G14. He teaches industrial design at the Polytechnic University of Milan and lectures internationally. Cortesi is Chairman and CEO of Compagnia Italiana Progetto and Deputy Chairman of the RED consortium. Cortesi has served as a chairman of the A.D.I. (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale) and he is a permanent member of the jury of the Koizumi Prize in Tokyo. His honors include the Compasso d’Oro, Neocom Award, and Gran Prix d’Architecture. His firm has worked with global brands such as Fiat, Panasonic, Kartell, Herman Miller, and WMF.

Sergio Chiappa-Cattò is an Italian artist who was born in 1930. He designed several lamps together with Angelo Cortesi for Form e Superfici in the early 70s, a company active in the late 60s and 70s.
