SPECIAL NOTE Ignazio Gardella was a renowned Milanese architect, engineer, and designer. He studied at Politecnico di Milano and Venice's Architecture Institute, shaping his architectural vision through interactions with influential figures of his time. Gardella played a vital role in post-war Milan's reconstruction, diverging from the dominant International Style. His timeless works blend elements of Modernism and Rationalism, marked by meticulous research and attention to detail. In addition to his architectural achievements, Gardella co-founded the Azucena Agency in 1947, focusing on high-quality decorative furniture design that mirrored his architectural elegance.
