SPECIAL NOTE
Roberto Menghi was an Italian designer and architect, born in Milan. He graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1944, and over the course of his career, he specialised in architecture, interior design, and industrial design. Menghi's innovative work earned him significant recognition, including two Grand Prizes at the Triennale di Milano, one for the "glass" section and another for the "design" section. He also received two Compasso d'Oro awards, one of which, in 1967, honored his design of the Guscio hut, a compact, glass-fiber and polyurethane shelter designed for two to four people. Menghi also dedicated much of his professional time to the restoration of buildings, such as Palace of Giureconsulti in Milan. He taught architecture at Venice and Milan universities and design at the New Academy in Milan as well as Bath Academy.
