SPECIAL NOTE
The original concept of the Bambolle series was that of a bag containing amorphous material which, upon contact with the ground, was squeezed to shape its contents. Piero Busnelli, founder of B&B Italia, invited photographer Oliviero Toscani who launched a creative, unique and very provocative campaign: Donna Jordan (model and muse of Andy Warhol) was photographed topless and in a series of free and irreverent poses, for to present a spontaneous and transgressive sofa. The image was immediately censored when it was unveiled at the Salone del Mobile in 1972, creating a flood of publicity that had an incredibly positive effect on product promotion. Le Bambole was the symbol of the seventies and also winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 1979.
